We started Settle with a pretty simple idea: affordable accommodation shouldn’t mean boring rooms, bad design or paying for a load of things you don’t actually need.
So we decided to do things a bit differently.
We create comfortable, thoughtfully designed places to stay in great locations. Places that feel good to come back to at the end of the day, without the price tag or formality of a traditional hotel.
Stay for a night, a weekend, a work trip or a few weeks. Pick the space that suits you, drop your bags and settle in.
A LITTLE ABOUT US
Settle started with two friends and a fairly simple idea.
We looked at the affordable hotels around Southampton and Winchester and felt there was something missing. You could find somewhere inexpensive to sleep, or spend considerably more for something well designed. There wasn’t much in between.
We thought we could do better.
So we created Settle. Small, design-led places to stay that are comfortable, flexible and fairly priced.
WHAT IS SETTLE?
SOMEWHERE BETWEEN A ROOM AND AN APARTMENT
Sometimes you just need a good room for the night. Other times, it’s nice to have a bit more space and somewhere to make breakfast or cook dinner.
That’s why Settle isn’t really one thing.
You can keep it simple with a comfortable en-suite room, choose a larger room with your own kitchenette, or go for our two-bedroom apartment if you need separate bedrooms and a proper living space.
There’s no traditional reception and no long list of hotel extras built into the price.
Just comfortable, well-designed spaces where you can come and go as you please.
AFFORDABLE DOESN’T HAVE TO MEAN BORING
WE CARE ABOUT THE DETAILS
We probably care more about the look and feel of our rooms than we need to. But that’s kind of the point.
Good lighting. Comfortable furniture. Proper beds. Useful storage. Colours that make a room feel warm rather than corporate.
Little things, really, but they make a big difference when you’re actually staying somewhere.
And we’re always changing things.
Some of our best improvements have come from guests telling us what worked, what didn’t, or what would have made their stay better. We read the reviews and pay attention.
Because good value shouldn’t mean spending your stay wishing you’d booked somewhere else.
MORE OF WHAT MATTERS, LESS OF WHAT DOESN’T
We’d rather spend money on the things you’ll actually notice.
A comfortable bed. A great shower. Fast Wi-Fi. A Smart TV. A room that feels good to be in. And, of course, tea, coffee and a biscuit waiting for you when you arrive.
What we don’t have is a traditional reception desk, restaurant or loads of hotel facilities that many guests never use.
Check-in is self-service instead.
We’ll send you everything you need before you arrive. You let yourself in, get comfortable and the space is yours.
No queues. No hanging around at reception. No fuss.
WE GENUINELY care about every guest that stays
Not having a reception desk doesn’t mean disappearing once you’ve booked.

A comfortable base in Southampton, with easy access to the city centre, cruise terminals, shops, restaurants and local attractions.
Whether you’re here for work, a cruise or a few days away, Westquay, the Old Town and Southampton Common are all close by. The New Forest, Winchester and the Hampshire coast are also within easy reach.
With flexible spaces and kitchenette options for longer visits, you’ll have everything you need to settle in and make yourself at home.
Winchester
A comfortable base in Winchester, with easy access to the city centre, shops, restaurants and local attractions.
Whether you’re here for work, visiting family or spending a few days exploring, Winchester Cathedral, the High Street and local pubs and cafés are all close by. The South Downs, Marwell Zoo and the Hampshire countryside are also within easy reach.
With flexible spaces and a shared guest kitchen for longer visits, you’ll have everything you need for a relaxed and convenient stay.
